Join the UAB Libraries’ Office of Scholarly Communication for an engaging half-day intensive workshop designed to enhance your understanding of copyright law through a combination of lectures, discussions, and interactive learning activities. The workshop will cover a range of foundational concepts that everyone in higher education should know. Participants will explore the intricacies of copyright, fair use, and open access, empowering them to navigate complex copyright scenarios confidently. Additionally, we will explore the intersection of AI and copyright law, including an update of recent litigation.

Light breakfast and snacks will be provided.

Registration is limited to 30 participants, so early registration is encouraged to secure your spot. The workshop is open to all UAB faculty, staff, and students.
