AI-enabled Content Creation. A Discussion of Stable Diffusion and ChatGPT.

AI-enabled Content Creation. A Discussion of Stable Diffusion and ChatGPT. In-Person

The availability of digital art generated using artificial intelligence (AI) has been a growing topic of discussion and sometimes concern among content creators and communities interested in digital art. The rapid improvement of AI-enabled text generators has now sparked similar conversations among writers and programmers.  Join UAB Libraires Systems and Information Support Specialist Allen Dickerson to learn more about Stable Diffusion and ChatGPT, two applications that use AI to create visual or textual content. Allen will give an introduction to each application, how the AI tools work, and lead a discussion of the current concerns surrounding AI-enabled content creation.

Want to try AI-image generation yourself? Visit the LibLab in Sterne Library and check out our local Stable Diffusion installation.
