UAB Libraries Introductory 3D Printer Training - SLA Printers In-Person
All members of the UAB community interested in using the UAB Libraries' Formlabs SLA (resin-based) 3D printers must complete SLA printer training before using the Formlabs 3D printers. This is an advanced training session for individuals with prior experience using a 3D printer. This session is not recommended for individuals who are new to 3D printing. Laptops will not be provided at this session. Attendees are welcome to bring their own laptops or mobile devices
This session will cover the following topics:
- Review of the UAB Libraries 3D Printing Guidelines Safety requirements for 3D printing spaces in the UAB Libraries, including location of first aid and spill kits
- Formlabs Printer Reservation Calendar
- Preform Software
- Basic SLA Printer Operation Equipment for post-processing
All participants will be asked to review, certify, and submit the UAB Libraries 3D Printing Guidelines electronically via Adobe Sign if they have not already reviewed and certified the guidelines.
