Managing CAD Files and 3D Printable Assets in MakeSEA

Managing CAD Files and 3D Printable Assets in MakeSEA Online

Hosted by the UAB Libraries, this session with makeSEA founder Chris Stavros will provide an introduction to using makeSEA to collaborate, collect, and showcase design project assets including files from Solid Works and 3D printable files.

MakeSEA can be used to collect and manage project assets for group and individual projects. Assets stored in MakeSEA can also be used collaboratively in augmented and virtual reality headsets including the Oculus Quest and Microsoft HoloLens through the makeSEA Catapult integration.

MakeSEA is a collaboration and content management platform licensed by the UAB Libraries. Through the UAB Libraries license anyone with a valid BlazerID and password can use makeSEA to collaborate on private and public projects for 3D printing or extended reality. Visit the makeSEA for education webpage to learn more about how this platform can be used to organize and enhance projects.
