Any currently enrolled UAB student or member of the UAB Community with a valid UAB ONE Card can make a study room reservation. Reservations can be made the same day or up to two weeks in advance. The individual making the reservation must present their UAB ONE Card at the LHL HUB Service Desk to gain entrance to the study room. Most rooms will accommodate up to six people. Room 155 is the largest room and will accommodate up to ten. Five smaller rooms - rooms 175, 177, 179, 181, and 183 are available for single individual reservations and can accommodate up to two people. Check the room description for details on occupancy.
All study rooms are equipped with a glass board, markers, and erasers. A network connection and access to WIFI is available as well. Some rooms have TV monitors. Room 155 provides access to equipment that enables group collaboration as well as teleconferencing capability. Disinfecting wipes are located in each room and students are expected to wipe in as they enter and wipe out prior to leaving.
UAB ONE Card Required
- Reservations are limited to 3 hours per person, per day and can be booked up to two weeks in advance.
- ALL group reservations MUST have 2 or more people to secure a group reservation and at least two members must be present to gain entrance to the room.
- Room reservations are ONLY held for a 15 minute assembly time; groups must be present within the 15 minute assembly time in order to occupy their room and avoid forfeiting their reservation.
- Eating is allowed and students are expected to clean up afterwards.
